I’m an astronomer and author with over 15 years experience teaching and tutoring. I love people and making the world a better place.
I grew up in Grand Rapids, Michigan, home of Art Prize, Gerald R. Ford, and, importantly, the Grand Rapids Griffins. I received my Bachelors of Science in Physics from Calvin College in 2011, my Masters of Science in Astronomy from Cornell University in 2014, and my PhD in Astronomy from Cornell University in 2017. I now live in Chicago, Illinois.
When I am not studying physics and astronomy, I spend my time hanging out with my wife, Katelyn, and our friends. We enjoy reading, writing, playing violin, playing board games, playing hockey, watching sports, and exploring cool places.
